Pros
Inspiring,path breaking design,cool office.Saturdays and Sundays off.Nice location.The firm is well established,so it looks good on your resume,and could be a gateway to much bigger,better projects and offices.Also,the office takes architecture very seriously,delivering very well thought out,almost world class details.
Cons
Incredible overload of work.Abysmally low pay,way below industry standards.One is expected to keep on making changes/etc with no right to a life whenever the boss decides.
The biggest con is the boss,he may be an amazing,award winning architect,but as a boss,he is one of the most egoistic,unreasonable,rude and impatient people I have ever had the displeasure of working with.And trust me,everyone is treated with the same attitude and with suspicion,from a 2 day old fresh employee to the 5 year old stalwarts,who pretty much hold up the firm....I'm not the only one who disliked being treated this way, out of all the employees that join,85% quit by the end the first year is over.
Also,despite the cool image and 'wear what you want' credo,the office environment is over organised,and stifling to an extent.Don't expect to be allowed to express your originality here.
