Pros
Dealing with customers was enjoyable, as well as working with a great team on the floor. Upper management was fantastic, friendly, the other workers in the shop were fun and we always enjoyed the quick laughs when we were allowed. Good for an entry level position as positions of actual responsibility are not readily available. Discounts on clothes were good and overall a vibrant company which is well known and loved in South Africa and now getting a good following in Melbourne.
Cons
Sever micromanagement of floor staff by supervisors, hypocritical dictatorship by the assistant manager caused great disharmony and misery amongst staff, leading to several staff regularly being upset, crying and others quitting. Many complaints were made to the store manager but little change was felt and favouritism was strong and visible to staff and customers alike. Was very sad to see people you consider as work family being treated by crap because one person with little leadership ability is on a constant powertrip. Without that negative persons influence however it was an enjoyable place to be!
