Pros

There many very sharp, experienced, and practical engineers that you will come to work with if you are willing to find them and put in the work. Many of the field staff are reliable, knowledgeable, and self sufficient. The work hours are generally very balanced if you work in the office. Field work is dependent on the project and you will generally be expected to worked into the ground and then say “thankyou”.

Cons

You WILL get pigeon-holded unless you keep fighting them and somehow scrounging around for other tasks. There has been a consistent stream of very talented engineers that have been leaving en mass due to the associates and principals not willing to invest in the growth of younger engineers.
