Pros

Spent a little over 2 years at Murano. Going into this role, I knew i wanted to be in Finance, but was unclear about what I wanted to focus in. Murano is a very collaborative environment, with leadership that actually cares about your growth and has ambitions to grow the company a lot. Small teams when you start out, which allows you to build really good relationships with your coworkers, where you can lean on them for help, as well as the senior management. I was shocked that i was able to spend quality time with some of the best fund managers in the world on phone calls. This allowed me to really get a good understanding for what they look for. It felt like I got an MBA in the 2 years I worked here. You learn a ton, just be prepared for it.

Cons

Comp is on par with market. The early days are competitive, long hours, but gets better over time as you get the hang of things. Advice to management: Continue to build out further career development. Keep focusing on building out the company / structure. Thank you for everything you do for us.

Thank you for taking the time to write a positive review. I would definitely agree that there is a steep learning curve especially at the start. Our analysts who join not only learn about the the ins and outs of the role but also all of the different asset classes. As you have touched upon, our employees also do get a lot of exposure to speaking with top level fund managers especially as they progress within Murano.

Pros

You get lots of exposure to top fund managers and institutional investors from day one - stuff you wouldn't normally get until years later in your career. The CEO and leadership team were supportive and available when you need help. Your communication skills and market knowledge develop super quickly, and the analyst team has a really good culture - made some great friends there. Good place if you want to break into asset management and don't mind grinding it out for solid exit opportunities.

Cons

Hours are long and the pace is intense, especially during training. Starting salary isn't amazing but you have to think of it as paying for the experience and connections you get.

We have never employed any Interns or Investor Analysts in Dallas, Texas. Murano is not a big company.
