Pros

They fly you out to Adelaide for 3 weeks for training.

Cons

The expectation is for you to do 4 appointments per day which take 2 hours minimum each so no chance for lunch breaks and then you need to stay back to complete your paperwork which takes another hour minimum. They reward you with incentives like a free coffee and a bag of lollies which is absolutely ridiculous for the amount of work you'll be doing in that role. You're left to fend for yourself with no direct support apart from the team in Adelaide which is only available via phone and limited during evenings. COO and Director don't listen to any feedback, they just send fluffy emails telling everyone how much they love them every now and again which doesn't coincide with their actions or rewards for high performers.

Pros

I came to work at MyBudget nearly 5 years ago. It was a huge career change for me, but I felt that the company values aligned with me. I had been a client in the past and knew how much the company cared about its clients, so when a job came about I was excited to apply. I started out as a Personal budgeting Specialist. This is a fast paced role that requires empathy, exceptional time management and some after hours work. I was in that role for 2 years before I applied to be a part of the training team. Although I had no formal training as a training officer, the leader saw my potential and was keen to get me in the role and then upskill me with a certificate IV in training and assessment. I have always felt supported by my leader, both personally and professionally. It is so great to work for a company that actually lives by their core values.

Cons

All roles at MyBudget take a lot of resilience and empathy. We are dealing with people and supporting them takes a strong quality of wanting to make a difference in people's lives. This job is not for people who just want to play small in life.
