The learners are amazing and most of them are quite motivated.

Like all the other reviews mentioned, micromanagement, stemming from the close-mindedness/stupidity of some Mauritian managers makes it a very dysfunctional workplace. Even though you're a freelancer, you're expected to reply to every single email/message throughout the day and perform admin tasks that are NOT PAID. What is the point of freelancing if you're acting as a defacto employee? Also, the double standards when it comes to learners and trainers are egregious, they will most likely never side with you and act as though they're providing life-saving services in terms of the urgency they assign to every trivial matter. Compared to other language companies, such as goFLUENT for instance, their platform is dated, their content is written by people whose native language is not even English and they are rife with mistakes. There is no recognition for methodology or productive training, the only metrics they care about are attendance and learner feedback (which you have to remind them to do manually after every lesson, again what a stupid process).

There are no advantages whatsoever

- rs330 lessons done - the top trainer has only 20hours per month -students can cancel 3 hours before a lesson -not paid for last minute cancellation -supervisors will not notify if they add a lesson last minute, they expect you to refresh the calendar even if you are not paid for that time - you will have to share one teams account with up to 5 people - before every shift you will have to chase supervisors for team logins - as many people are attempting to access the teams account , it will be laggy, and you will get gaslit into upgrading your internet even if their system is slow - they will fire you if you refuse to work for free - they will use the slightest excuse to fire people - you will be required to fill out reports for the people they fire for free
