Pros
The learners are amazing and most of them are quite motivated.
Cons
Like all the other reviews mentioned, micromanagement, stemming from the close-mindedness/stupidity of some Mauritian managers makes it a very dysfunctional workplace. Even though you're a freelancer, you're expected to reply to every single email/message throughout the day and perform admin tasks that are NOT PAID.
What is the point of freelancing if you're acting as a defacto employee?
Also, the double standards when it comes to learners and trainers are egregious, they will most likely never side with you and act as though they're providing life-saving services in terms of the urgency they assign to every trivial matter. Compared to other language companies, such as goFLUENT for instance, their platform is dated, their content is written by people whose native language is not even English and they are rife with mistakes. There is no recognition for methodology or productive training, the only metrics they care about are attendance and learner feedback (which you have to remind them to do manually after every lesson, again what a stupid process).
