Pros

Company focuses on technology creation that be patented. All staff are trained to be Drone Pilots, few K investment. Creativity is encouraged with surplus budget to test technology out. Strong product lineup that is either patented, or powerful, for improving long term company valuation. Tools are calibrated to aerospace standard, thus serving government bodies. While starting pay is low, pay increment is good. Company looks towards IPO, and has a very strong board of directors to execute it.

Cons

Demoralizing that when management is out of office, staff without discipline would regularly watch YouTube and not perform work, delaying company and production process. Many of us have to OT to compensate for the hooligans mischief. Too much respect for staff freedom allows staff to misbehave, such as hiding tools and parts to avoid working, in the name of misplacing items.

Pros

Managers observe new hires for immediate promotion and job roles - Age is not the factor, the willingness to do and learn is what they are looking out for. Some new staff are promoted to manager just after 3 months probation. When my work was tracked, i thought something happened, only to find out management was trying to promote me. The company culture is for colleagues to go out together during orientation at the first month. I have learnt this is a very good litmus test if the company fits you. As a new comer, if you don't want to communicate over lunch with colleagues, both you and the company know there is no alignment and future. After 1 month, we choose our lunch kaki and own place to eat. Freedom to explore - Company encourages freedom to explore new technology and methods when primary task are completed. My personal favorite. 1 sat or sun OT = 2 weekday off. I gladly trade a weekend for 4 weekday off. Very high tolerance managers, they will spend time to understand issues. Flexible hours, flexible policies. Leave can be encashed.

Cons

Management gets concerned when colleagues no longer report about work. This is when manager will go to the staff to understand about work progress. Can be mitigated by just telling manager that more time is needed, rather than keeping quiet. There are some classified government projects, where leaking will result in management coming to find out what is leaked. Different sites: Woodlands is very difficult to reach by public transport. Jurong/Aljunied/alexander sites reachable but can be confusing which site to go. This is not the place for people that have difficulty reporting work progress. Fast or slow progress is fine. If you are fast, company let you go early. If you are slow and miss deadline, management will ask why you didn't report. Very high tolerance managers, new comers will sometimes bully them.

Pros

If you value strict structure and constant oversight, this company may suit you. You’ll experience a highly monitored environment with clear expectations—though personal autonomy is limited

Cons

-rigid and overly controlling, - technical challenges were assigned with minimal support, and reasonable troubleshooting efforts were often dismissed as excuses. - Personal autonomy—even during lunch breaks—was discouraged, with expectations to engage in monitored group interactions. Management emphasized surveillance and behavioral scrutiny over mentorship, creating an environment that lacked psychological safety and trust.
