Pros

Casual, Flexible enviornment. Great Co workers. Straightforward and easy to learn inventory and POS system. excellent work-life balance, completely reasonable schedule. Most customers & calls are easy for even a novice parts person to handle.

Cons

Absolutely no feedback from owner. No opportunity to course correct if something is done wrong. Little to no training either. Related to training, almost nonexistant discussion about rules or company policy either. Employees are expected to know what to do and not upon day 1. You never know when you've done wrong until someone is grilling you out. Had to learn much of the systems and routines either by being thrown to the wolves. or by observation of other employees. Some of which had conflicting methods with the owner's wishes. but as stated, Owner never answered when asked, or wasn't available. Also got a strong impression that there is disgruntled attitude among the staff towards the owner. Owner Nonchalant attitude about paperwork being in order in regards to employee payment. I didnt, and still haven't recieved pay stubs for my first two pay periods.

Pros

The hours are great compared to Autozone or O’reilly, the pay is much better compared to other auto parts retailers too. Anyone who complains about Napa Auot Parts doesn’t know what it’s like to work for their competitors. Unless you work for independent Napas I know their pay is different from corporate but I feel like this company actually cares about their employees and treats them fairly in regards to pay, and working here is much better and has a better work life balance compared to other retailers which is a plus. I can see myself making this a career and staying long term I love my job and what I do.

Cons

Tams sucks and catalog sucks, thats literally my only complaint about this company they need to upgrade the whole system and the way they do inventory and everything with regards to technology.

Pros

At the time of writing, I have worked for Napa for 9 years. I can say with a great deal of experience that the fellow employees will make your day. Easy people to work with all around. Something about the shared struggle of working for NAPA will really bring a group of folks together. Customers who come into a NAPA come for a reason. I find this to be a much different experience from other auto parts stores. Customers know what they are talking about, and that makes the job all the easier. Hours are consistent almost to a fault, but you will ceratily get at least your 40 hours.

Cons

When I first started with NAPA, they genuinely cared about their employees(gift cards on bday, anniversary lunch, anniversary gift, holiday bonuses, company-wide holiday parties). That is all gone. All management you will have personal contact with has ZERO authority to do ANYTHING. Do not expect a merit-based raise, or even a yearly raise(no raises in 2 years despite $2.3B in net profit for 2025). It seems to take an act of god to fire employees who literally do not do their job. DO NOT CLIMB THE LADDER. The higher you get in this company, the more you will regret it.
