The cons most has to with management, or lack thereof. At the time of leaving they were putting in place steps to correct it, so hopefully going forward they will continue to take a look at the management as a whole and improve where they can.
Career opportunities can be a bit slim, however that said, they are there for those that wish to apply themselves and take on the work. If one gets too good at ones job, they can find themselves stuck in that position, even after expressing interest in moving to either another department or position.
I cannot lay blame at all of management as some do a great job, at the same time some issues are due to staff as well , not performing at the level they should or making the same mistakes again and again. While the neglect to fire or replace is nice, sometimes it is needed .
