Pros

- Awesome mission - Fun and super smart co-workers - People know a ton about ecology which is super fun. Never worry about what that animal you saw was in the wild again. Just send it in to the team and someone will give you the sweet sweet knowledge. - Cool problems, and lots of geospatial data! - Lots of room for impact, and freedom to do what you think is right - No micro managing - set your own pace - Fullyyyyy Remoteeeeeeeeeeee - Benefits are solid - You get to feel like the work you're doing is good for the world, unlike a lot of other tech companies

Cons

- Devtools maybe not as up to speed as big tech companies - Not as much cash monet as some big tech companies - Especially in engineering could work on diversity and inclusion. People are all for it, and talking about how it's a problem which is good.

Pros

NCX Inc. is an intimate company, the developers there are friendly, helpful, and driven. Lots to develop, QA, and help out with. Build full-stack terminals from scratch, that are to client specs which are good to build from. Consistent work, that was challenging and provided good experience within a team environment.

Cons

Management is very unorganized, more focused on vacations then helping or working alongside employees. Withheld vital employment information specifically pay period (monthly). Senior dev not helpful in guiding process, asked multiple times for help which was not received except by fellow junior devs. Main focus is put towards Boss's side company which is tire storage, jr devs assigned to rehash old terminal/database with zero guidance within a huge unorganized project with zero comments. The focus on new features instead of the bottom line for a project is overwhelming.
