Great experience! You'll learn a ton, not just about disaster relief, but about nonprofit management as well as logistics/operations. Great opportunity to learn by doing. Get to travel all over the country and meet/work with amazing people that care about helping others. Feel good about your day job!
Cons
Potentially long hours, can be expected to travel on short notice, sometimes stressful, uncontrollable environment (at disaster zones)
