Pros

Genuine family environment, ability to transfer between stores (I transferred to and from stores between term whilst at university), plentiful hours at sale periods, ability to gain experience in both shopfloor and stockroom, easy to use employee portal, uniform allowance, employee discount, sociable working hours.

Cons

Full time contracts almost never given out, hours can vary wildly depending on the size and trade of the store, etiquette can vary a lot between stores - (some stores abide much more to the rule book than others, which in itself has pros and cons), lack of opportunity/difficult to progress within the company
