Everything else. When interviewing, they praise “family first”,,“we are a team”, “you will have our full support”…. It’s all bogus. I was very excited to take a position with NHE. After working for them, I realized that as a whole, the company is extremely unorganized, very unprofessional and do NOT have your back the way you think they would as a manager on one their properties. I was belittled, spoken to rudely if I had a question about ANYTHING, and was expected to work 24/7 EVEN WHEN ON VACATION. This company doesn’t care about their employees, just what’s shown on paper. Sure, they were shown as one of the best places to work in 2022, but that’s only because they make is mandatory for you to participate in the employee survey(even though it shows as optional in the email thread) and god forbid you write anything bad because you will be punished for it. They are absolute favorites within this company and it shows through vividly. Working for this company, you eat, sleep, breathe and basically marry the company. Work/life balance sucks, upper management sucks, and you’ll never feel welcomed. I feel sorry for whoever decides to hop on board next, I’m glad I left when I did.
