      Pros

      - You are helping others - Great Salary and Benefits - Some really nice people to work for and with - Feels like campus life. Plenty of opportunities to move up if you get with the right department.

      Cons

      - If you end up with the wrong department, things can go left quickly - Unfortunately with these "bad" departments no room for growth - "Bad" Departments has poor leadership, micromanage and terrible behaviors unbecoming of what a manager should be. Strongly recommend doing your research prior to saying yes to a job/find out what institute or department prior to.

      If you’re not a liberal or progressive you will be the kid with lice. During the Biden admin your skin color is the only thing that mattered not your skill.

      Brilliant mission focused colleagues, meaningful work that has a real impact, good benefits and work life balance.

      Cons

      The current administration turned the well oiled machine into chaos, disrupting funding, research, travel, and more. I’ve heard that it is improving, but still constantly changing and a chaotic environment. I know it will one day get back to the amazing place it was.
