      Pros

      The scientific goals are important.

      Cons

      It's exhausting to see very junior staff rising up the ranks quickly, who have very few skills to offer. It's all about the shiny new people and their connections. Experience is not valued outside of the scientific jobs and it's essentially still a good old boy network (plus the young shiny women that they mentor).

      Pros

      a lot of resources for your to explore and their Biowulf HPC system is very powerful and make my work much more efficient.

      Cons

      If you live not that close, the traffic to commute to the bethesda campus is heavy during rush hour.

      People are generally friendly, the schedule flexibility is pretty good

      Cons

      The current administration is not good at managing anything. Their directives constantly change and leave us with more work and less output.
