Pros

Flex time. Very good profit sharing last year was 8 percent. Good benefits. Generous vacation time. Good hours. Lean company.

Cons

A lot of people are difficult to talk to. You have to be very careful with your words to not get barked at by the operations manager. There’s a lot of exceptions to standards created here.

Pros

NORMAC is not your typical manufacturing company where employees get paid to make parts. This is a truly lean company that takes pride in developing people to be problem solvers who can improve processes to be slightly better every day. While that sounds easy and exciting, it is hard and sometimes frustrating. But if you keep an open mind to possibilities, willing to embrace scientific thinking, and ready to celebrate failures (learnings) then this is the place for you. When you walk in the shop you are not going to see a dirty, dangerous, depressing workplace but a team where everyone from the owner to the most recent hire can teach you a thing or two about lean thinking.

Cons

There isn't really a con except that the pace of production is slower than a typical manufacturing environment. This focus on quality rather than quantity may not be appealing to everyone.

Pros

New staff, new management they practice the lean manufacturing philosophy. They also problem solve why mistakes happen instead of writing you up like conventional companies do. 90% of staff is very friendly and willing to help others.

Cons

A couple of associates make it difficult to get through your day if you work on thier team. Bacause they are ao young they dont know how to talk to people and are very rude and. condescending. When people hold others accountable they do it rudely very unprofessional and you get verbally attacked. People are not taught to work and talk at same time, when management is not around alot of socializing goes on instead of work(you can do both)
