Pros
This really has been a great place to work this past year. Everyone is friendly, professional and cooperative, and most importantly, you really feel like everyone is working toward a common goal. That's rare. It's also rare that you come across a company with a 40 year history that's being run like a start-up, but that's exactly what's happening here. It seems the company has cut some dead weight over the last few years and along with a new CEO and new department-heads the result is a small, cooperative group of people with fresh ideas and tons of room for growth. Every new project, be it designing new box art or deciding on an upgrade for a wireless system, has been an open cooperation between production, product development, service, sales, and design departments. Everything is being updated and improved such as software, product, workflows and pipelines. Sales are continuously up from the previous quarter and keep climbing, it feels great knowing that your hard work is paying off. I've worked in operations roles in many different companies. I come from a corporate background and I've worked several years in the harshest corporate environment in the country, Midtown Manhattan, and I think this qualifies me to speak to the average goal-oriented, career-minded, ambitious person when I say that, if you're looking for a friendly and cooperative environment with lots of room to grow, yep, this is one of those places.
Cons
Healthcare could be better (not a fan of Kaiser)
Pros
Fancy new building, paid holidays, monthly company lunches, employee discounts on product, room for growth in most parts of company, and flexible schedule. Production and accounting/admins are all very nice/helpful people and have been there for years; a very 'family-like' company. Company is evolving forward and slowly acquiring more valuable staff to help modernize the Nady brand and product line. My dealings with Toby Nady and John Nady have been completely fine. They're both accessible to discuss new ideas with and open to change, if there's a strategy in place.
Cons
The biggest con for me was the condition of the old building we worked in. Most of what you'll read on GlassDoor is true but that has since changed as of July 2016. Benefit package not attractive to most individuals. Company politics can be frustrating at times (as in any company). Not all personalities fit here. Some positions require a bit of ownership and accountability as upper staff may not have resources to construct a complete plan of your role -- Best suited for former freelancer, self-contracted worker, or 'go-getter'.
