Pros

Somehow, NI Penang is very successful in hiring the nicest people. They are so fun and very helpful. Also, the average age of employees is pretty low so you have a lot of employees who have less than 5 years of experience. The interns really love this place. There's no place else in Penang that can provide such a comprehensive and fun internship experience. I know because I'm one of them! :) The gym is very nice and well equipped. Too bad it's not open during weekends. If you want to slowly hone your skills in engineering, NI Penang can provide a good environment as there are lots of free time to learn and develop your skills due to very slow product development life cycle. Experienced engineers from NI are quite marketable. It's not too hard to find a job in the other MNCs if you've some years of experience from NI.

Cons

NI's overall cash compensation is pretty low. Many senior employees left NI after a few years due to this, some even right after they got promoted. Even though management tries very hard to convince employees that they're paid the market average, people are still not convinced. Some group managers are of questionable quality.

Great place to work, wonderful environment and people.

Cons

Teams were let go after they were purchased. I'm not sure how it is now.

Pros

The people and the culture! Mostly very helpful, smart, fun loving group of employees. NI hired a lot for culture fit and that made the day to day a lot of fun.

Cons

Company vision from the higher ups suffered greatly after the pandemic.
