Pros

1. I can open my schedule anytime I want. As a mother of two kids, it helps me manage my schedule conveniently. 2. The students are nice and polite. Most of them are professionals. You don't have to worry about their attitude. 3. The salary is competitive compared to other ESL companies. You can earn more than enough depending on how many hours you teach in a day. 4. The penalties are low and just right. 5. They have a mobile app so you can get updates any time of the day. 6. There are promotions and incentives if you work hard. 7. You can work at the comfort of your home, safe from COVID 19 during this pandemic and consecutive lockdowns. 8. You can also learn while earning. 9. You can find regular students. They can become your friends too. 10. The admins are responsive and considerate. I was a victim of typhoon Rolly last year. I needed to cancel some of the reservations. Instead of reprimanding me, they told me to take good care of my family first.

Cons

I cannot think of any cons because I am always and will be forever grateful to this company.

Pros

The platform is easy to use, and lesson types are diverse. They follow common themes that even a novice teacher could learn quite quickly. If you are a good teacher, within 60 days you can easily have many regular students. I enjoy teaching on this platform more than any other I have used.

Cons

Being out of Japan, the Yen is doing very poorly, so you will not make much money here. $4.00 for a 25-minute lesson that requires a follow-up message and review for the student. Add in the normal wait times of 5 to 15 minutes between lessons and you are making around $5.00 per hour. If you work diligently and receive few bookings you can make around $500 a week, but it is a grind. The one glaring negative about the platform is that is not designed to allow you to promote upward. If you don't have 50 bookings in 2 weeks, you will not be promoted. This resets every 2 weeks. There are 100s and 100s of teachers unable to be promoted because of this ridiculous threshold. You can have 1000 lessons all 4 and 5-star reviews, with students sending more than 500 messages of appreciation and you will not improve in rank. Just so you know, level 2 gives you $0.25 more per lesson. what?????
