Low pay and impossible expectations across multiple roles - Tree/pest Natural Way Lawn and Tree Service Employee Review

Pros

There are no pros, not 1.

Cons

Firstly they want you to do 3 different jobs Pest, Tree care & Mosquitos for $19 per hour, no matter how much experience you have, all 3 of those are separate jobs that pay up to $25 per hour EACH. To say they are asking for too much is an understatement. They bait you in with a 15% production on everything you make over 10K in a two week period, but they schedule your route to where it’s impossible for you to make production, you have to be back to the shop by 6pm everyday so you have to stop working even if you have more work, in order to make it back. They schedule your stops to where your first is an hour out, with 20-30 minute drive time in between each stop, with a 1 hour drive time back removing 2 hours of production time that could’ve been used to get you closer to the 10K needed, with that kind of start time and drive time in between stops, you will never make production pay so you are stuck doing 3 different jobs for $19 per hour on top of using leaking equipment that leaks pesticides on your back in a beat up truck. This place is low level, stay away.

Pros

Benefits are great, great people outside of management, 3–5-month long vacation when laid off.

Cons

Only promote through nepotism, Upper management could care less if you have past management experience. Be prepared to also lose all your Saturdays with your family and friends from March to December or whenever the season starts and ends each year as Saturdays are mandatory. It is seasonal, so you will be laid off as a technician unless you are in "the club" and you have a few skills to help around the warehouse during winter months. So my advice is to save as much as possible because unemployment pays very little to survive.
