Great environment for a scientist to become an editor. Always reading and learning, with ample travel.

Pay is somewhat low and need to be comfortable staying in this position.

There was some flexibility in my work arrangement, which was helpful - but that may vary according to department. My review is a tad dated.

One editor noted it was the first time he had heard a scientific field referred to as a "market."
