Pros

You'll never be bored at this job. After the first 6 months it is never the same day twice. There is a ton of knowledge in the company to help you succeed. You get what you give. Good experience for true sales. Opportunity to work in AI professional services and gain exposure to various clients. Some talented colleagues and consultants. Decent commission structure—at least initially. Awesome resume builder Valuable life skills to deal with hard situations

Cons

One thing I would like to be clear about before you read this. I was successful at Navitec, I almost broke $100,000 in my first year with a $36k base and felt the ups and downs of the market over the next 2.5 years. I hope this helps you make a decision that is best for you if you're considering working at Navitec. Compensation: I worked at Navitec for 3.5 years. I was promoted on a trial basis, only to be quickly demoted without clear reasoning. A year later, the commission structure was changed—my base salary increased, but commissions were cut significantly, ultimately making me work harder for less pay. The change felt more like a disguised pay cut than an improvement and primarily affected myself and one other employee to redistribute earnings to others in the office. Culture: The company is run by three owners who are rarely aligned. Employees answer to all three, and job responsibilities shift depending on who you speak with or even what time of day it is. Leadership has a track record of badmouthing both current and former employees, making it clear that loyalty only lasts as long as you are considered useful. This creates a tense work environment, especially for those planning to leave. Additionally, nepotism plays a role in the company’s culture. An owner’s son works there and frequently reports back to his father about office conversations, which has led to employees being confronted over misinterpreted or entirely fabricated claims. The leadership style is demotivating—two of the owners spend most of the day in their offices, arriving between 8–10 AM, taking long lunches, and often leaving early. Yet, when the company underperforms, the blame is placed on employees, often escalating to aggressive or hostile conversations. The culture values "respect your elders" over "respect is earned." The amount of hostility that is just accepted in a professional environment is a huge reason why I left. KPIs & Sales Strategy: Expect to always feel like you're falling short. The company's sales methodology is outdated, relying on high-volume cold calling rather than modern sales strategies. Leadership refuses to acknowledge that sales have evolved beyond early 2000s tactics, so the expectation is to work through thousands of calls in hopes that one will lead to a viable opportunity. Even if you successfully identify a client need, that doesn’t guarantee fulfillment. The company’s delivery process is inconsistent and does not work as reliably as leadership claims. In my time there, only one person consistently hit their targets with an average of 3 out of 8 sales people actually making any commission. Client Relationships: Navitec does not prioritize long-term client relationships, which makes it difficult to sell with integrity. Leadership focuses on short-term wins rather than strategic partnerships, often pushing for unnecessary meetings even when a client has already provided detailed information via email. There is little regard for respecting clients' time, as productivity is measured by the number of phone calls rather than meaningful interactions. Benefits & Work-Life Balance: Minimal PTO, with a culture that makes you feel guilty for using it. One of the owners openly resents employees taking time off. No 401(k). Poor health insurance. No real investment in employee growth or development. Overall, employees are treated as disposable, contributing to a high turnover rate. What Navitec Does: Navitec claims to be an AI services firm, but in my 3.5 years, the focus shifted from Security to Cloud to ServiceNow to AI, with each pivot resulting in frustration from leadership when immediate results weren’t achieved. There is no long-term strategy—just reactionary changes based on perceived market trends.
