Pros

Salary is high and teammates were amazing.

Cons

Initially I was excited to join Navro, but my experience was ultimately disappointing. The company's culture is more focused on numbers than people, and it shows in their treatment of employees. The biggest issue I had was with the company's hiring and firing practices. They promise growth and opportunities, but in reality, they're constantly laying off people without warning. It's a stressful environment that can be difficult to thrive in. I also had issues with the contracts they make you sign. While I understand the importance of protecting intellectual property, the language was overly broad and could have unintended consequences. It felt like they were trying to trap employees into long-term commitments without giving them a clear understanding of what they were getting themselves into. The CEO, Aran Brown, seems more focused on meeting quarterly targets than on building a positive company culture. Managers are under pressure to meet hiring quotas, which can lead to hasty decisions that don't always benefit the company in the long run. Overall, my experience at Navro was frustrating and stressful. While there may be some positives to working for the company, I wouldn't recommend it to someone looking for a stable and fulfilling career.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad to hear you appreciated the competitive salary and your teammates at Navro. We deeply value our employees and their well-being. Our aim is to balance business needs with a supportive and people-focused environment. When it comes to performance issues, we implement a structured feedback process, providing ample opportunities for improvement. Unfortunately, not all situations resolve positively, and difficult decisions must be made to maintain a healthy work environment. Regarding our contracts, they are standard and designed to protect both the company and our employees. We always strive for clarity and fairness, and we encourage employees to discuss any concerns they may have. Navro does not have hiring quotas. We focus on hiring the right talent to foster growth and innovation and sometimes we do not get it right. While we have ambitious targets, our leadership is dedicated to maintaining transparency, compassion, and flexibility, offering one-on-one walks, chats, check-ins, and adaptable working arrangements to support individual circumstances. Thank you again for your input, and we wish you all the best in your future endeavors. Obviously Navro wasn't right for you and you were not right for us. We encourage you to use Open Up for support if needed to help put you in the best position for your future roles

Pros

Remote work, colleagues are supportive, helpful, and easy to work with.

Cons

There is a noticeable lack of job security, as the company has gone through multiple rounds of redundancies. Management direction can sometimes feel inconsistent, with priorities shifting frequently. At times, senior management appears to become involved in lower-level business functions, including engineering practices, which can affect team autonomy and delivery. Compensation is below market rate, and there does not appear to be a regular annual salary review process.

Pros

There’s a lot of trust and freedom in how you work. You get plenty of space to make decisions, take initiative, and suggest new tools or ways of doing things. The company genuinely wants to build a strong culture — the People team puts effort into trainings that help managers grow as leaders and give better feedback. There’s also a clear focus on developing people and supporting those who want to improve in certain areas. The flexibility’s a big plus too — being able to work from abroad and spend time with family or your partner while keeping things running smoothly is awesome.

Cons

Sometimes it feels like the main focus is on hitting revenue targets (which is fair for a startup), but it can create quite a bit of pressure. Also, salary increases seem to happen more often in product and sales, which can feel a bit uneven across teams.
