Cons
You need to make sure you're goals are aligned with your management. Misalignment can easily cause you to miss your target, especially if you're not getting what you need to be successful, resulting you being sidelined, regardless if you're doing a great job. Neo has lost some great talent and leadership because of this. Neo4j has been growing fast in 2017, with a drawback that it has been focused on hiring senior (Director/VP and up) and becoming top heavy, instead of focusing on getting skilled boots on the ground in the field. A limited technical career path as it is a small company.
