Pros

Pay- used to be competitive, new employees are offered less money than before. Benefits- good, could be better Free coffee and machines Paid Time Off is generous

Cons

-Hiring dimwit managers and assistant managers that cannot properly maintain a boutique, let alone hold a monthly staff meeting. District and regional managers descend every once in a while on their unannounced visits to check on employees. Instead, they should regularly come visit the boutiques in hope of improving operations and customer service. -When you internally apply for positions, don't expect a response. And if by some miracle someone from HR decides to contact you or give you a phone interview, don't expect a response then either. Essentially don't expect to even be considered for a position you applied for, unless management needs you there. Then they'll roll out the illusion of a red carpet. -When I first started with the company, the pay was quite competitive, and you truly felt the company somewhat cared about the work/life balance they provided their employees. Now they offer specialists regular retail pay, but expect those same employees to go above and beyond for the brand. This is fostering a culture of BLAH at the boutiques.

Hi – Thank you for submitting your review. Yes, we offer many benefits that employees are happy to enjoy. I read the remainder of your comments, and I do not feel I can relate to your experiences. On a frequent basis, I interact with our Boutique managers and retail management operations team to discuss their business operations. Over the past few months, we have implemented several initiatives to better our operations and communications. For example, a new program called Retail Management Development Program strives to leverage our retail knowledge and enhance their leadership skills and business insight. The program is very well-received by the participants. While respecting your point of view on internal opportunities available to employees, I do not agree because we currently fill YTD 58% of the open jobs for all salaried positions including Boutiques management, with internal employees. At times, the interview process can be long as we want to allow time for all applicants to be considered. The talent acquisition representatives are also available to provide updates. Since I am unfamiliar with the situation you are referring to, I invite you to share your feedback and concrete examples with us by contacting our confidential employee help-line at 888-424-2409. We will certainly review any specifics you can provide and always improve what has to be improved. Thank you, Guillaume Le Cunff President @ Nespresso USA
