Fast growth of offline stores but heavy workload for trainers - Retail Trainer Nestasia Employee Review

Pros

Nestasia is a great place for Retail Trainers who want hands-on experience and real ownership. The learning curve is steep but rewarding. Leadership is accessible, the brand is ambitious, and training has a visible impact on store performance. Workload can spike during key seasons, but overall it’s a strong workplace for anyone serious about developing their retail training career.

Cons

Some stores don’t have ideal space or quiet zones for conducting training sessions, so you have to make do creatively. As a trainer, you sometimes get pulled into operational tasks when stores are short-staffed, which can take time away from core training.

Pros

My experience at Nestasia was very disappointing. The work environment felt extremely restrictive and stressful. The founders and management often came across as unapproachable, and expectations were not clearly communicated, which made it difficult to stay motivated or understand long-term goals. Basic workplace freedom was heavily limited — stepping out of the office during the day was discouraged, and leaving at the scheduled time often wasn’t allowed because “it doesn’t look good.” Interaction with colleagues was also monitored closely, and even normal conversation could be labeled as “talking too much.” Employee turnover was very high during my time there, with many people leaving within a few months. Overall, the environment felt overly controlled and not conducive to healthy professional growth. Advice to Management: Create a more trusting, transparent, and supportive culture. Employees perform better when they feel respected and not constantly monitored.

Cons

The work environment feels extremely restrictive with very limited flexibility during the day. Leaving at the scheduled time is often discouraged, even when employees arrive on time. Communication and expectations from management can feel unclear, causing confusion and stress. Employee interactions are monitored closely, creating discomfort and limiting healthy teamwork. The turnover rate is high, making the workplace feel unstable and unsettled. Overall culture can feel overly controlling, stressful, and not supportive of long-term growth or employee well-being.
