Pros

I knew I was in the right place when the head of HR showed up in a Reagan sweatshirt the day after the election on the Zoom. Message received, loud and clear. Once I figured out how the higher-ups operate, the rest was a breeze. Stroke a couple egos, act like they’re geniuses, and they stay outta your hair. Kiss the ring type of the leaders, or they’ll steamroll right over you. Clock in, laugh at a few lame jokes, and keep your distance from the folks who gripe behind closed doors but smile for the higher-ups. Just like that, it’s a chill day. No stress. Just making the customers happy. If you’re someone who actually expects accountability and plays fair, this probably ain’t the place for you. It’s not that you’re not a good person — you likely are — but around here, that kinda honesty tends to get you knocked down more than lifted up. That said, I have seen decent managers who actually EARNED respect. They’re out there, they just aren't loud and obnoxious. Just don’t join blind. Watch, learn, and figure out the landscape. If you do, you’ll be golden. Play the game right, and you get a seat at the table. Watching people miss the memo? Yeah... it’s been educational. You either learn how things really work, or you sit in the cheap seats wondering why nothing ever goes your way. Throw out a few half-decent opinions like you’re really invested. Then cruise through doing just enough above average—that’s the universal standard here. It’s a job, right? And depending on how long you’ve been around the block, this place is basically your average Tuesday... nothing special.

Cons

The markets bad, if you get an offer. Take it.
