Pros

The team I work with is dedicated and loyal to the company and takes an ownership mentality.

Cons

If you care, you’ll give up your nights, your weekends, your blood, sweat, tears, joy, you’ll miss family events, even health appointments, your house will fall apart, your relationships will suffer, and you might even get asked to shorten your time away. There is nobody in the positions of the right help, and far too many managers, and too many per diem who have other jobs that can’t give enough hours but hold per diem positions hostage. When you ask for help, it’s always answered with a “We are trying”. Yet it’s been years of asking and the ask still falls on deaf ears. The company is missing opportunities to grow a huge revenue stream because they won’t create structure and processes; and positions to manage those structures. There are so many missed opportunities here, in a field that really needs us. I don’t know how to make my voice louder. It’s just not heard. We are top heavy in management. We need certain tasks completed, and are not getting what we need, no matter how many meetings we have about it. In fact, I don’t have time for the meetings anymore. We didn’t even celebrate Nurse’s Week. Not a single person even mentioned it. They work you to within an ounce left of your sanity, and then there’s absolutely no recognition or cohesiveness or celebration of any achievmemts instead, it’s “We didn’t make our quota.”. It’s all hurry up and get your work done, but then slow down because you’re making mistakes. Pay is mediocre for this level of experience and expertise-non-management level positions elsewhere offer far more in salary. Plus all the money you’ll spend to try to get things done just to manage your life, like paying for grocery delivery because you’ll never see the inside of a grocery store again. It’s madness. Not a sustainable career.

Pros

Full time hours are generally guaranteed however recently full time have been having their hours cut due to low census. Part time and PRN have barely had any hours recently with frequent shift cancellation and minimal to no shifts to even pick up. Fully remote is a pro Salary is ok for remote Fairly fast hiring process Have good values that seem to be at corporate however at the subsidiary (McBee) they are not practiced by leadership.

Cons

Leadership is not “transparent” and often blind sides employees with significant changes. Retirement is a joke. Will only match a max of 2.5% if you put in 5%. You are 25% vested each year of service. No company stock options. No pension. Frequent shift cancellation. Leadership is two-faced and deceptive. Full time went from salaried position with FPTO (“unlimited”) to hourly with a significant change in benefits. Leadership gave no indication this was even up for consideration and instead scheduled a last minute meeting to drop the bombshell. Leadership has multiple levels—team leads are associates managers above that is a manager and executive leadership. Leadership fails to communicate even amongst their team. With the change from salary to hourly, team leads weren’t even aware the change was happening. Even more recently via email sent Friday after 2100 (which is super sketchy as that’s the shift end time and lets be real executive leadership is not working that late, it was intentional) executive leadership sent a GROUP email to all the part time people informing them they will be changed to PRN status with again no TRANSPARENCY ahead of time. Earlier in the same week there was a q&a meeting due to instability of clients and employee questions where nothing was mentioned about this possible change despite leadership repeatedly saying he was being transparent. Clearly not. Also the direct managers (team leads) were not even aware of this forced transition to PRN and had to find out from THEIR employees. PRN status employees are NEVER entitled to ANY kind of raise. Do not receive any company HOLIDAY pay despite being required to work holidays there is also no weekend or evening differentials common in health care jobs. FULL time are paid holiday pay hours for entire shift worked. Part time are REQUIRED to work half the company holidays and 8 hour shifts but are only paid 4 hours of company holiday pay. Job instability. Several mid level leadership have recently left and are not being replaced.
