Pros

Staff Benefit, Part of Qantas group, some good multicultural environment, awesome 6 on 6 off.

Cons

High turnover, you're lucky if you can get to the team with a mix of nationalities that work as a team, it has been ruled by 65% of the same nationality, and if you don't speak their language, you're prepared to be left out. The Manager is the same nationality as the 65% of staff. I wouldn't be complaining if the staff worked as a team, but they always get away with it. I can say that no matter what you know or who you know, you will be taken care of. mentally prepared! and always wrong..Toxic environment

The crew you work with can be amazing, lifetime friendships were made. Staff Travel (although it is beyond stressful to use).

I worked at Network Aviation for roughly six years, and unfortunately, I have very little positive to say about the experience. Becoming a flight attendant was a dream of mine, but that dream was slowly diminished by the culture and conditions within this company. The management, particularly within the flight attendant mangers/department, is highly inexperienced and prone to micromanagement. Rather than offering support, encouragement, or recognition, management frequently fosters a negative and unsupportive environment. Compassion, empathy, and understanding—especially in times of personal hardship such as illness, bereavement, or mental health struggles—are severely lacking. Rostering is disorganized and unsustainable, with no lifestyle bidding options available. Rosters are often exhausting, and concerns about fatigue are largely ignored. Booking annual leave is unnecessarily difficult, and it’s not uncommon for approved leave to be revoked without warning. The pay and working conditions are well below industry standards. Earning around $1,500 per fortnight is simply not sustainable in today’s economy. Additionally, the company makes internal transfers within the Qantas Group extremely difficult. Staff turnover is alarmingly high, driven by poor management, low morale, and inadequate pay. A toxic culture prevails, where management encourages crew to report on each other, creating a hostile and distrustful work environment. It often feels more like a schoolyard than a professional setting. Safety is also a serious concern. The aircrafts are frequently unreliable, with recurring technical issues and breakdowns due to poor maintenance and aging equipment. If I can offer one piece of advice, it’s this: think twice before joining Network Aviation. The culture is toxic, the conditions are harmful, and despite years of feedback, nothing has improved—in fact, it has only gotten worse especially with the recent hiring of very inexperienced, careless and unsafe crew.
