Pros

- It is on Long Island in a convenient location - Breakfast provided every morning, along with free sodas - On site gym in the basement (be careful of the mice) - Somewhat decent Christmas party

Cons

- Horrible micro-management with frequent layoffs and paycuts, with no fair warning - No work-life balance and employees are overworked with no fair compensation. This is because there are harsh and unreasonable deadlines set in place, so you should be expected to show up exactly at 9am (or else you'll get reprimanded), but prepare to be forced to stay way past 5pm - They do not promote internally. Prepare to be stuck in the same position for quite some time because instead of keeping employees happy, they just get wait for them to leave (or lay them off) and hire new ones, therefore there is a very high turnover rate - No transparency and are not open to suggestions/feedback - No culture with a very old-school way of doing things. There are filing cabinets everywhere with loads of wasted paper (which could be documented and saved electronically to save trees), cubicles, and the office vibe is silent and close to dead - No HR department, so if there are any complaints or issues, don't expect it to be resolved. The only HR person located in a different office in a different state is impersonable, rude and does not respond to any sort of communication - No sense of independence. Be prepared to be watched 24/7 and be required to receive multiple approvals (if you can even get a response) for every little move you make - Very poor technology infrastructure. Computers, laptops, printers, wifi, VPN, air-conditioning, heating are all lacking or somewhat broken and always have problems - No collaboration, communication or sense of teamwork between departments and no one knows their coworkers in other departments. So if you need something, be prepared to go through multiple people before you get to who you need
