Pros

The company is nurse-led, and that makes a meaningful difference in how nurses are supported. I always felt valued and appreciated because leadership genuinely listened to our concerns and cared about our well-being. Although I worked independently in home care, I never felt like I was on my own. The clinical team was an outstanding resource—always approachable, knowledgeable, and ready to provide guidance whenever I needed support, which helped me feel confident and well-prepared in my role. The scheduling team was equally wonderful to work with. They communicated clearly, were responsive, and consistently did their best to accommodate nurses’ schedules and preferences. Overall, the company fostered a supportive, collaborative culture where nurses were respected, empowered, and set up for success.

Cons

Hand written charting, limited growth for new grad nurses, 0.5% annual increase

Pros

NCC office staff are compassionate and always available for support. I've heard many client families and Seattle Children's staff say that NCC is the best for pediatric home health nurses and families. I love the client and family I've been working with for years, and the schedule helps support my own work life balance. My case is not very physically demanding so my body thanks me.

Cons

Salary, hands down. You could earn a higher salary at so many other places. Paper charting, narrative notes. Lack of advancement opportunities if you don't want to work in-office in Ballard.
