Pros

- Teams are tight knit and supportive - Most people are very passionate about improving education - Great place to start a career

Cons

- Leadership tends to micro manage and does not allow teams autonomy - Little to no measurable strategic goals at the company or team level - Processes are slow, inefficient and do not follow industry standard software development practices - Decisions are often not data driven - Lack of transparent communication across the organization

Pros

Transitioned to virtual and have kept a pretty strong culture and commitment to mission. New leadership is really doing things the right way.

Cons

Roles will continue to shift as company changes and grows, so change is part of the game. As long as you thrive in that environment it’s great. Not all do

Pros

Peers Founders Holidays Volunteer Hours

Cons

The organization has no longitudinal data from an external evaluator to indicate that its products work. The tech department struggles every year to get its product out before the students start school in the fall, which makes the atmosphere quite toxic, as everyone is stressed.
