It is a Job. Depression makes people put up what with bs that normally people do not put up with. The peers were great but the excuses to rid of people as soon as work got slow is silly. When work is abundant they expect you to work the extra mile.
Cons
Selfish company with little forsight. New management is a legend in their own mind. Their are some good managers but the ownership distorts their true good intentions.
