Pros
The working environment is welcoming and friendly towards new staff members. The coordination manager is also super understanding and will take the time to help you walk through the window manufacturing process, and job duties/responsibilities.
Cons
Because it’s a family run business there’s a lot of nepotism and favouritism, especially in the coordination department between sales coordinators and leads. There’s also a high turnover rate, which is expected given the salary, work culture and responsibilities. The work load can be busy, but it’s fairly manageable if you have a good lead. Some leads have unrealistic expectations of sales coordinators, especially with the time management of duties and perfectionism expectations. There’s also minimal growth for any coordinators to move up in the company. Most of the leads will be there for many years because it’s all they’ve ever known / or already have connections in the industry. There’s also a lack of consistency between leads, so it can lead to challenges if you move between coordination leads and they have different expectations of what they want or when they want things. Also a big thing was being micromanaged by some leads, and the general feeling of being watched by higher ups. It was generally unsettling and frustrating - a bit toxic.
