Pros
No weekends, 5pm end time, hour lunches
Cons
- Lack of workplace culture, extremely cliquey. If you have a positive personality most of these people will look at you like you are insane, especially if your position does not require you to wear scrubs.
- Departments do NOT communicate whatsoever, everyone is lost and it trickles down to poor patient satisfaction.
- The turnover is insane, new people every other week.
- They hand out write ups like it's candy for the most ridiculous reasons across all departments and then anticipate you to want to keep working there.
- Payroll department is a joke.
- HR and management have 0 regard for you as a human, ironically.
- You are expected to know exactly when you are going to call out or have to leave early, you are not allowed to have emergencies or urgencies. They do not care about you as a person. You are a number.
- Owners are greedy and employee benefits are slim to none. Expensive to even want to get healthcare.
- Communication between optical and clinic is like pulling teeth and makes you feel like an inconvenience to them when you are trying to do your job and help patients.
- HR sweeps instances under the rug and tell employees to suck it up, such as when coworkers throw boxes at you, scream at you in front of patients, or feel the need to hurl racial jokes at others, but are quick to monitor time cards and off board as quickly as they have to onboard because again, this place has a revolving door for a reason.
I chose to leave on my own accord due to no longer tolerating the blatant disrespect from upper management and the incompetence of other departments. I am not "disgruntled" as I am incredibly content with my decision, but I believe future employees deserve to know the truth and not have their time wasted like I did mine and to apply at their own risk.
