Talented and dedicated Israeli team – The local employees were truly the bright spot at Nexar. Smart, driven, collaborative, and genuinely good people who made coming to work worthwhile, even in challenging times. Exposure to innovative technology and an interesting product domain. Flexibility in work location (hybrid/remote options).

Cons

Loss of company identity and direction – Following the merger with a Portuguese company, the organization lost its sense of purpose and core values. Lack of transparency – Major business decisions were made without clear communication, leaving employees uncertain and frustrated. Questionable leadership choices – Strategic missteps and poor judgment calls contributed to ongoing instability. Employee treatment – The company showed little concern for the well-being or personal circumstances of its employees. Layoffs were handled in a rushed and inconsiderate manner, often without proper justification or support. Cultural decline – What used to feel like a mission-driven startup turned into a disconnected, top-down environment with diminishing morale.
