Pros
The internal team at Next15 is really a team in every sense of what you would think a team should be. I've worked at a few matrixed organizations where departments are siloed but not the case with Next15’s North America Team. Even with remote working, I feel connected to the group. I really respect my peers, we all function at a higher level and are treated and respected as subject matter experts. Everyone brings their authentic selves and confidently relies on our peers for collaboration. I feel my work is acknowledged and worth the effort. Both my direct and indirect Managers are the best I’ve had in many years. I feel like they have my back when it comes to difficult situations and they absolutely support me and know me as a person. There are lots of opportunities to make a valuable impact with your work.
Cons
The Internal team in North America is lean so you do have to be fairly autonomous and have a good knowledge base to know where or how to get things done. This is a non-issue if you come from a small or start-up type of environment. From my perspective, the UK is the main headquarters so at times it feels that North America is factored into decisions that have been made in the UK. As a result, we try to make the proverbial square pegs to fit the round holes and flex asks or policies for appropriate fit in North America. I also sens that I don’t fully know of all of the initiatives that are going on.
