Wants to be a start-up without the pay, or perks, or benefits, or interesting work. People are burned out, people are scared to take vacation or time off. They will shun you if you disagree with program leadership. People are set up for failure - hired with lies and misleading claims. If you are interviewing, talk to people on your potential team. Have these conversations one-on-one, and do not just speak with the leadership, but others at your same level. Ask what their work-life balance looks like and how the environment is.
