Pros
The experience differs significantly per business unit. People from other business units frequently try to move to our side because of conflicts with their management. I love the people I work with, and have phenomenal relationships all the way up to the VP on our side of the house.
Cons
The Thoma Bravo acquisition was rough. Look up reviews from other companies that were purchased by Thoma Bravo. I was optimistic, hoping that it was just a case of only people with bad opinions post, but everything that I read before the ink dried on the deal is playing out before my eyes. 20% of the company was let go, there's a "hold" on any finances being approved until April, but the overseas teams are actively hiring to replace the people that were just let go. A lot of upper management is on their way out. There have been hints at another RIF on the horizon. NextGen is transforming into what a lot of other big corporations are, a company you jump to for a year to bump your salary, then hop right back out.
