Pros
The organization employs capable staff and generally professional colleagues. Direct engagement with beneficiaries at events and in the field was a consistent highlight of the work.
Cons
There is a significant leadership problem within the organization.
The C-suite now represents more than 10% of total headcount while lower-tier employees who perform core work continue to be laid off. Executive compensation is disproportionate to output. A substantial amount of time and resources is spent in internal meetings rather than producing results.
Leadership has demonstrated outward hostility toward BIPOC employees, creating a difficult work environment. The new CEO is frequently hostile toward staff outside the executive team. Trust in leadership and human resources is low. For years, employees have had limited access to conflict resolution or reliable channels for reporting conduct violations, and requests for managerial support are often ignored.
The organization was not without issues under previous leadership, but performance and culture have declined significantly under the current leadership.
