Pros

I have worked in a variety of settings in the past, but none come close to the amazing culture, learning & development, and growth available at Niagara bottling! The level of transparency among management is insanely refreshing! I know that regardless of the projects I am assigned or the team I am working with, any manager or VP is always ensuring that they make every effort to really get to know the teams they manage. In most other organizations, that sense of visibility and compassion seems to be lacking. Niagara employees are looked upon as family, with respect oozing from every cubicle in every department. Employee feedback is not only always given but encouraged. This is the one thing I love about this company - feedback is tremendously crucial to growth. To know where one is going, one has to know what to fix and where to improve in the process. Niagara recognizes this and acts on it. The culture of this company is another amazing aspect. All members of Niagara are so encouraging and supportive. Entering as an LDP with no prior experience in Manufacturing, for example, I have never once felt as if I wasn't able to contribute because of that experience barrier or intimidation. My team was beyond supportive, monitoring every step of my progress and ensuring that I had all the tools necessary to complete any task. Questions were not only welcomed but encouraged. This sense of environment not only makes it conducive to excel, but also creates as sense of camaraderie among members of the team. It is truly a "work hard, play hard" environment! My Talent Development Manager, Updesh Maharaj (not to mention Haley Slusser), is another big reason why I decided to join Niagara. I came in telling myself "if everyone at Niagara has this type of carefree, driven, diligent, and compassionate attitude, this is the company I want to work for." His level of engagement with every talent that comes through is inspiring. The whole HR team is spectacular. I am very excited about this journey and can’t wait to learn as much as possible in the next year and a half through my rotation as an LDP fellow before settling on a department and position!

Pros

There are a few good workers left, for now.

Cons

the management doesn’t know what they are doing They fire people who have put absolute hard work in by finding ways to fire them They don’t care about the hard work you put in for them, or the overtime. They won’t have your back, and it’s a very stressful invironment You walk around a concrete floor ALL DAY! And they endeavor to fire you if they see you sitting for just a few minutes after you’ve run around like a mad man/woman for HOURS all the while they observe you working hard… they just don’t care about your well being. You can get injured and they will fire you for being a “liability”. You could get a stratch and your jobs on the line. The hours are grueling long and when you say no to overtime because you’ve already exhausted yourself they will, again, seek to terminate your employment The new manager of line 3 and injection will be the fall of those areas. He started a fight with a female employee his first week( she was breaking records in line 3 and he had her moved to another shift a line because he couldn’t work with her) DO NOT WORK HERE!! The maintenance team is worse! Their manager doesn’t discipline them at all, hours and hours of break time and the operators get fired for an extra 10 minutes through the whole 12 hour shift… DO NOT WORK HERE
