Pros
As an established brand with decades of history it's customers are well know and understood. I found opportunity to build relationships with die hard Nikon supporters across a variety of markets. The brand knows it's customer base well and produces products that are generally well received. Lots of opportunity to gain access to photographic equipment and grow your skill set. Job responsibilities are well detailed and I found it to be strong on structure and process.
Cons
The speed of the modern world, particaulrly speed in product devlopment, advances in marketing tactics, product promotion and customer buying preferences seem at times at odds with the staid nature of the company. It's a company that knows itself and it's current customer however struggles with attracting new customers. International management plays their cards very close to the chest, often hampering efforts to be more responsive.
