Pros

Nix is a place where low income individuals have an alternative to banks. If you want to work in a inner city environment this may be the place for you. There is a strong family feel working there and the senior management really cares about the employees.

Cons

It is a very stressful environment and the compensation is not very appealing. The amount of work required daily can be extremely demanding without the proper resources to complete the task. Nepotism plays a large role at Nix, if you're related to someone in a high position you will get an attractive position.

Owned by kinecta fed credit union, so gives good experience to advance career and make resume look good. PTO, sick pay and medical benefits for ALL emplyees(parttime included) GREAT employee discounts to lots of places.

Cons

No room to grow, not even management positions thrive. They will keep hiring people with no real room for them they dont even give the employees they currently have the proper work hours. Very stressful enviroment to work when you have the store manager and others telling you your job is not "secure". Company has closed down several stores in the past 2 years but yet are hiring and give supervisors 30hr/week. Low pay comapred to what others in similar business pay.
