Pros
Good work environment and good engineers at the company. A great organization for developing international experience. Lots of good training opportunities. Plenty of interesting new product ideas to work on.
Cons
The leadership at Nokia is weak and decision making is nearly impossible for the organization. In addition, the company is still living in the days when it was the top handset mfg. The arrogance that often permeates an organization that is the market leader is still strong at Nokia. Their market share is eroding making success in the all-important smartphone space more difficult. The Nokia brand in the most important market is not even considered. How many people in your network own a Nokia phone? With losses in the 1st Qtr. of 2012 more cost cutting is in the future for this company. If you are interested in working for a mobile handset mfg., this is not the one to join.
