Pros

Sky is the limit for how much money you can make with these guys. They promote a lot from within and don't follow "typical" career paths. If you are a good performer and have the right skills they will move you up in the company. Really goofy fun environment, kinda like a frat house. Mostly young fresh college grads unmarried 20 somethings. Lots of partying and drinking. They are very generous with compensation based on performance. Good Benefits

Cons

All the pro's sound great right? This company obviously doing well and profitable but they could not be a more immature group of individuals. Lots and lots of drinking and partying. Not very family friendly company to work for if you care to go home everyday and not bring your stress with you. As I mentioned in the pro's they recruit young straight out of college guys and gals who are not very mature and this caters to their frat/party atmosphere at work. Many of these people it is there first job and they think it is just a big party. The management supports and engages in this behavior as well. This is a company that sends internal emails to call out and embarrass their employees for having a lower performance month. The owner of the company is known to send out emails to people berating them for their performance. If you have a great performing month they worship the ground you walk on and tell everyone else they need to do better. Really motivational huh!? If you care nothing about having a work life balance, good management, professional work environment, and just want to make a ton of money if you are driven this is a great place for you. The only thing these guys care about is money, they recruit so heavily because so many quit or get fired. Managers would not hesitate to be nice to your face and then berate the entire office over email just to keep up appearances to other offices and managers. I honestly made a decent amount of money working for NTG but it just wasn't worth all of the stress.

Thank you for your feedback! The sky is the limit here when it comes to how much money you can make. As far as the 'partying', we promote a fun atmosphere where we can have an ice cream truck come in for the afternoon, participate in spirit day where you can wear your sports gear, play a round of ping pong, contribute to our social media pages, and share your weekend experiences. It is not mandatory to hang out with co-workers after work or participate in the fun activities we provide. It is encouraged to get to know your co-workers on more than an 8-5 level. We do not allow the abuse of alcohol or excessive partying. If there is ever any concerns of abuse HR should be immediately notified. It states clearly in our handbook that we do not allow or tolerate that kind of behavior. Management will acknowledge top performers in the company while encouraging those who are struggling.

Pros

The people make work easier and enjoyable.

Cons

Logistics is constantly changing. This is not a company issue, but you have to be prepared to stay on your toes and adjust on the fly in this industry.

Pros

NTG was a place where I thought I would be long term. Working in the Dallas office, I genuinely felt like I had found a home. I enjoyed everyone I met and the friendships I made along the way. The memories I made with my hiring class are ones I’ll never forget. I sincerely hope our paths cross again. I’d also like to thank my managers for their exceptional leadership. I truly gained valuable skills that I’ll carry with me into my next role. The same goes for everyone I met in NTG’s Austin office during my visit.

Cons

As for the companies decision, I have a lot of thoughts. From my perspective, this came down to numbers on a spreadsheet. What wasn’t seen was the work that many of us put in behind the scenes during a very difficult market, often working stale accounts that had little chance of converting because of past relationships and mistakes. I strongly disagree with the decision. That said, I can honestly say I gave this job everything I had and more. I left it all on the field, and I’ll always be proud of that. Despite how things ended, I’m grateful for my experience at NTG, the people I met, and everything I learned along the way. I’m excited to see what I can accomplish in my next role and where this next chapter takes me.
