Pros

My time working at Norbrook Laboratories Limited was genuinely one of the most rewarding stages of my career. From day one, the organisation demonstrated a strong commitment not only to quality and innovation, but also to its people. The onboarding and training processes were structured, supportive and well resourced, which made it easy to understand expectations and quickly feel part of the team. What stood out most was the workplace culture. There was a clear sense of pride across departments, and colleagues were always approachable and willing to share knowledge. Management maintained an open-door attitude and actively encouraged improvement ideas from all levels, which created a collaborative environment rather than a top-down one. Communication was consistent, and achievements were recognised regularly, which made employees feel valued. The company’s focus on standards and compliance was particularly impressive. Processes were well organised, equipment and facilities were maintained to a high level, and there was a strong emphasis on safety and professional development. I felt I gained valuable experience and skills that have continued to benefit my career long after leaving. Overall, I would highly recommend Norbrook to anyone seeking a professional, supportive and forward-thinking workplace with real opportunities to grow and develop

Cons

The scale of the organisation means decision-making can sometimes be slow, particularly where approvals are required across multiple departments. • Processes are highly procedural, which is necessary for compliance, but can limit flexibility and make simple changes take longer than expected. • Workload can fluctuate significantly during peak production or audit periods, creating occasional pressure on teams. • Shift patterns in some departments may not suit everyone and can affect work-life balance. • Opportunities for rapid progression can depend on business growth or internal movement, so advancement may take time. • Communication between departments can occasionally be inconsistent, especially during busy operational periods. • Documentation requirements are extensive due to regulatory standards, resulting in a higher administrative burden than in non-regulated industries
