      This review is being posted after the content of the review posted on the 25th Oct was brought to my attention by work colleagues. For the record I attest that the review posted on the 25th October was not done by myself. I will endeavor to further contact Glassdoor to advise them of these facts.

      Cons

      I have worked for Nordgold for 6 years, 5 of which have been a successful turn around period for the SMD Lefa Mine with a plan to extend its life for many years to come bolstered by the input of all mine and Nordgold Management team.

      Pros

      For some, this may be appropriate , but in today's world most people don't retire this young.

      Cons

      It's unfortunate , we weren't able to continue working together, because of company policies set 20 years ago.

      Pros

      Great pay, however difficult working conditions and parts were often 6 months or more to receive. Great company support and interesting labor force. Company paid all expenses for travel,food and apt.

      Cons

      Travel on a 6week on and 2week home. Projects could run behind because of location issues. Parts and services into West Africa were a constant frustration.
