Pros
Get to bring your own gear and management does not make a big deal out of it. Great Co workers and time goes by much faster than other security posts while working. Sign on bonus offer ($1,000) if you stay for 4 months without breaking company rules. Gas cards can be borrowed for using company cars.
Cons
Low pay for an armed guard position. Management is very disorganized and sometimes do not care about their employees. Hours which mean management will make you work during the holidays and overnight. Conditions are not comfortable and security equipment is poor quality. Dangerous job similar for working an armored vehicle company. For gear and permits, the employee must provide their own for work. Report writing is long and tedious. (done by hand) High turnover rate which means schedule is hard to manage.
