Pros
Amazing benefits - enough to keep me there long past the point where I realized I was unhappy with my job.
Cons
Completely dysfunctional leadership team. The left hand doesn't want the right to know what it's doing. The CEO gives a big speech at new-hire onboarding about her history with homelessness and drug use. This is meant to inspire people and bring them down to earth about the mission. HOPES's CEO has lost that mission and forgotten where she came from. The company is not the same as it was when I first went to work for it. In addition to being an HIV clinic, they started out with a focus on improving the health and well-being of marginalized individuals in our community - people experiencing homelessness, mental illness, and addiction. Now, it seems as though leadership and marketing are more concerned with reporting success stories than actually providing the logistical support required to create them. Internal support for community outreach and other important projects is completely inadequate. Advancement opportunities within the organization are very difficult to come by.
