Pros

Growing Company, advancement opportunities, variety of work.

Cons

The company culture was lacking, with poor communication at all levels. It often felt like important information was siloed, which created confusion and frustration among team members. Moreover, management seemed to turn a blind eye to employees who treated their colleagues poorly. This lack of accountability fostered an unprofessional atmosphere, making it difficult for those who wanted to collaborate and contribute positively. While the work itself had potential, the toxic culture overshadowed any positives. I hope the company can address these issues, as they are critical for creating a healthy and productive work environment.

There are numerous cons for this company. I'll start by saying I was let go at the time of this writing with the corporate speak of "we can't tell you the reason you're suddenly being let go." The cons in no particular order: The executive management team is ripe with nepotism. The CEO and all of the vice presidents of the company went to school together and all cover each other's backs. The lack of accountability amongst all of them is astounding. I'd hear on a regular basis, that some employee prints to company money, so leave them alone, and don't change anything. The CEO really doesn't run the company, as he's almost never around, doesn't communicate regularly with staff, and takes a lot of time off to see family. The company is essentially run by the CFO, who really doesn't hold anyone accountable either. If there is something you need him to address, he'll just send an email to your manager telling them to make the problem go away. If it doesn't involve company finances, he doesn't care what happens. Company policies are optional depending on which VP you're on good terms with. The company is 1 day in the office and 4 days of hyrbid. However, as stated above, depending on which executive you report to, office day is optional, even though the rest of the staff would have to still come in. Compensation is terrible for the amount of work that you're expected to do. At least in my department. My role was essentially a Level I in terms of pay, but with Level II responsibilities. Then I was asked to take on Systems Administrator responsibilities, but with the refusal to change my job title and compensate me accordingly. Raises are nonexistent. For the three years, I worked at NTIC, I received between 1% and 1.5% annual raises. There were employees who literally do not work, who got as much as 4% and 5% raises. My job also came with the added headaches of if I want to change anything in IT, I essentially have to get the OK not just from the executives, but managers, who shouldn't have a say as well. If I wanted to make a change that would save the company money for example, I couldn't do it if someone didn't like it. Even if it made sense, if there was a single complaint from a manager or a VP, it doesn't get done. Gossip runs wild at this company, and that includes HR being part of it. Every week and sometimes everyday you'll hear a new rumor about another employee or group of employees. Eventually, you'll hear a rumor about you through the grapevine, and wonder who started it. This is just a sample of the cons this company has. Just look at some of the other comments. I'm not alone in saying this.
